wxTabCtrl is deprecated in favour of WxNoteBook. wxTabCtrl supports UIs where you don't want the control to physically contain other controls. wxNotebook supports UIs where it's OK for the notebook control to contain other controls.

wxTabCtrl is only supported under Win32, MacOS and OS/2.
