I just tried the workflow. The MSDN Integration Utility is not compatible with Visual Studio 2005 for two reasons:

  • It won't find the path to the MSDN 8.0 automatically, because it is not in the registry path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\HTML Help Collections\Developer Collections
  • It cannot patch integrate wx.chm, because MSDN 8.0 has no .col file.
