[edit] Checking Out wxWidgets with TortoiseSVN

If you want use TortoiseSVN to check out the wxWidgets trunk, for instance, here's one procedure for Windows:

1. Right-click on the C: drive in Windows Explorer to pop up a context-sensitive menu.
2. Left-click on SVN Checkout to bring up the Checkout window.
3. Paste http://svn.wxwidgets.org/svn/wx/wxWidgets/trunk into the URL of repository box.
4. Invoke the Browse function in the Checkout directory box by clicking on the button on the right with the ellipsis (...) icon.
5. Create a new directory using Make New Folder with a name such as wxWidgets SVN.
6. Click OK to accept that folder name and go back to the Checkout window.
7. Click OK in the Checkout window. The download (of about 39 megabytes) will start.
