Kernel Streaming (KS)

Normally, Developers_Notebook-Kernel_Streaming-DirectSound gets a 30ms latency because of the KMixer (Kernel Mixer) that all audio has to go through.

Kernel Streaming solves this by bypassing the mixer - but then you have to mix stuff by yourself, and will start to realize how nice Developers_Notebook-Kernel_Streaming-DirectSound is.

Rumored to have some bugs.

From Windows 98 and up. Rumored to be taken out of longhorn.
